Clinical Cortex is the flagship medical quiz of our fest, designed to challenge knowledge, quick thinking, and clinical application across different levels of medical training. The goal is to make learning fun, competitive, and team-based while celebrating the spirit of medicine.

Preliminary Written Round

  • Objective-type questions; top teams qualify for stage rounds.

Stage Rounds include

  • Rapid Fire
  • Clinical Case Solving
  • Visual Diagnosis (Images, X-rays, ECGs, Slides)
  • Drug & Instrument Identification
  • Audio-Visual Surprise Round

Conduct

  • Use of electronic devices during the quiz is strictly prohibited.
  • Teams must answer within the allotted time.
  • In case of a tie, a tie-breaker round will be conducted.
  • Accuracy of Answers – Correctness and precision of response.
  • Application of Knowledge – Clinical reasoning and logical approach.
  • Teamwork – Contribution of all members during discussions.
  • Time Management – Answering within the given time frame.
  • Bonus points may be awarded for out-of-the-box reasoning in case-based questions.

The Living Atlas is an artistic blend of medicine and creativity. In this event, participants transform the human body into a live anatomical canvas by painting structures like muscles, vessels, bones, or organs on the face, arms, neck, or feet. It’s a celebration of both medical knowledge and artistic imagination, bringing anatomy alive outside the textbook.

  • Type of event: Group
  • Team Size: 2-3

  • Each team may consist of 2-3 participants: one/two as the painter and one as the model.
  • Models should be fellow students and remain available throughout the event.

Themes

  • Organ systems (cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, nervous, etc.)
  • Regional anatomy (face, neck, limbs, thorax, abdomen)
  • Creative interpretations are allowed if they maintain anatomical accuracy.

Materials

  • Only body-safe paints, markers, and brushes are permitted.
  • No permanent or harmful chemicals allowed.
  • Total time: 120 minutes for painting.
  • Participants must maintain decency while painting on body areas.
  • Judges’ decisions will be final.
  • Anatomical Accuracy – Correct placement and depiction of structures.
  • Creativity and Aesthetics – Artistic appeal, neatness, and innovation.
  • Clarity of Concept – How well the chosen theme/system is represented.
  • Presentation – Ability to explain the anatomical painting to judges.
  • Team Coordination – Painter-model collaboration.

Collectomania is a high-energy scavenger hunt where wit, speed, and resourcefulness matter more than anything else. Participants race against time to beg, borrow, or steal everyday items as instructed. It’s fun, chaotic, and the perfect test of presence of mind and team spirit.

  • Organizers will announce a list of items to be collected within the given time.
  • Items can be procured from friends, faculty, hostels, or the venue — creativity in sourcing is encouraged.
  • Dangerous, illegal, or disrespectful acts will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Teams must not damage property while collecting items.
  • Mobile phones can be used only to call/text — not to order items online.
  • Each round will have 1 hour to collect items.
  • Teams must return to the collection desk before time ends.
  • Number of Items Collected – Maximum items from the list within time.
  • Accuracy – Items must exactly match the description.
  • Team Spirit – Enthusiasm and coordination of team members.
  • Time Management – Returning before the deadline.

Clinical Charades is a medical twist on the classic game of dumb charades. Instead of movies, participants act out diseases, signs, investigations, instruments, or medical personalities—all without speaking—while their teammates try to guess the answer. It’s fun, educational, and guarantees plenty of laughter along with revision.

  • One member acts, others guess.

Gameplay

  • Each team will be given a chit with a word/phrase.
  • The actor must use only gestures, actions, or expressions—no speech, writing, or mouthing words.
  • Medical abbreviations and pointing to surroundings (like books, people, posters) are not allowed.

Rounds

  • Round 1 Pictionery
  • Round 2 Charades
  • Each team gets 2 minute per word/phrase.
  • If they pass, no points awarded.
  • Teams must maintain professionalism—no indecent gestures.
  • Judges’ decision is final.
  • Accuracy of Guessing – Correct answers within time.
  • Number of Correct Guesses – Total score across rounds.
  • Clarity of Acting – How well the actor conveys the concept.
  • Team Coordination – How effectively members collaborate.
  • Bonus points may be awarded for particularly clever or humorous performances.
