Badminton is a racquet sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles), who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net. Players score points by striking a shuttlecock with their racquet so that it passes over the net and lands in their opponents' half of the court. A rally ends once the shuttlecock has struck the ground, and the shuttlecock may only be struck once by each side before it passes over the net. The shuttlecock (or shuttle) is a feathered projectile whose unique aerodynamic properties cause it to fly differently from the balls used in most racquet sports; in particular, the feathers create much higher drag, causing the shuttlecock to decelerate more rapidly than a ball. The most common forms of the game are "singles" (with one player per side) and "doubles" (with two players per side).

The format for this competition shall be a team minimum 4 players and maximum 6 players.

Basketball is a team sport. Two teams of five players each try to score by shooting a ball through a hoop elevated 10 feet above the ground. The game is played on a rectangular floor called the court, and there is a hoop at each end. The purpose of each team is to throw an inflated spherical ball into its own basket or goal located at one end of the playing floor, and to prevent the other team from scoring at its basket located at the other end. The objective is to shoot a ball through a hoop 18 inches (46 cm) in diameter and 10 feet (3.048 m) high mounted to a backboard at each end. The court is divided into two main sections by the mid-court line. If the offensive team puts the ball into play behind the mid-court line, it has ten seconds to get the ball over the mid-court line. A team in control of the ball is generally considered to be the offense.

Cricket is a game played between two teams, generally of 11 members each. In essence, it is single combat, in which an individual batsman does battle against an individual bowler, who has helpers known as fielders. The bowler propels the ball with a straight arm from one end of the 22-yard pitch in an attempt to dismiss the batsman by hitting a target known as the wicket at the other end, or by causing the batsman to hit the ball into the air into a fielder's grasp, or by inducing one of a number of other indiscretions. The batsman attempts to defend the wicket with the bat and to score runs - the currency of the game - by striking the ball to the field boundary, or far enough from the fielders to allow the batsman to run to the other end of the pitch before the ball can be returned. At least two bowlers must take turns, from alternating ends; also, there are always two batsmen on the field, each to take a turn as required. When all but one of the batting team have been dismissed - or after an agreed period - the teams' roles are reversed. After all the players required to bat on both sides have done once. The total number of runs accumulated determines the winner. But sometimes there isn't one.

Squash is a sport in which two players hit a ball with a racket. The aim of the game is to beat the other player by hitting the front wall and making the ball bounce twice on the floor before they can hit their turn, or for them to hit the ball out of play. Squash is played by two (singles) or four players (doubles) in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. The players must alternate in striking the ball with their racket and hit the ball onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. The squash court is a playing surface surrounded by four walls. The court surface contains a front line separating the front and back of the court and a half court line, separating the left and right hand sides of the back portion of the court, creating three 'boxes': the front half, the back left quarter and the back right quarter. Both the back two boxes contain smaller service boxes. The floor-markings on a squash court are only relevant during serves.

Table tennis, also known as ping pong, is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight ball back and forth across a table using a small paddle. The game takes place on a hard table divided by a net. Except for the initial serve, the rules are generally as follows: Players must allow a ball played toward them to bounce one time on their side of the table, and must return it so that it bounces on the opposite side at least once. Points are scored when a player fails to return the ball within the rules. Play is fast and demands quick reactions. Spinning the ball alters its trajectory and limits an opponent's options, giving the hitter a great advantage. When doing so the hitter has a better chance of scoring if the spin is successful.

Volleyball is a team sport played by two teams, of six players apiece, on a playing court (30' X 60') divided by a net. The object of the game is for each team to send the ball regularly over the net to ground it (have it hit the floor or ground) on the opponent's court, and to prevent the ball from being grounded on its own court. The ball is put into play by the right back player, from anywhere behind the end line. The server serves the ball by hitting it over the net into the opponent's court. A serve, which hits the net and goes over, is a legal serve. The only time a player is allowed to hit the ball twice consecutively, is on the first ball over the net (incidently), or when attempting to block. A ball may be contacted only three times on each side by one team, not including a block. A team wins a game by scoring 25 points with a two-point advantage and wins the match by winning the best two of three games. In the event of a 24-24 tie, the team who has the two-point advantage first, wins the game. There is no point cap.

  • Starting Procedure: Athletes must start from a designated starting line, usually marked with a white line or blocks. Athletes must adopt a stationary position with no part of their body touching the ground ahead of the starting line. Starting commands may include "On your marks," "Set," and the sound of a gun or an electronic starter.
  • False Starts: One false start warning may be issued to the entire field, but any subsequent false starts by a single athlete will result in disqualification. False starts are determined by sensors that detect any movement before the starter's signal.
  • Lane Assignments: Athletes are assigned specific lanes to run in, and they must remain in their assigned lane throughout the race. Running out of the assigned lane may result in disqualification.
  • Running Surface: The race is typically run on a specially prepared track with specific dimensions and materials. Athletes must not wear shoes with spikes that exceed a specified length.
  • Finish Line: The finish line is clearly marked and is usually indicated by a white line on the track. The winner is the athlete whose torso (usually the chest) crosses the finish line first.
  • Disqualifications: Athletes may be disqualified for false starts, running out of their lane, or other rule violations. Disqualifications are typically determined by race officials or judges.
  • Uniform and Equipment: Athletes must wear appropriate athletic attire, which may include a uniform or jersey. The use of performance-enhancing equipment or substances is strictly prohibited.
