A flower bouquet is a collection of various flowers in a creative arrangement. Flower bouquets are arranged for the decoration of homes, public buildings, or may be handheld. Handheld bouquets include several different fashionable shapes and styles such as nosegay, crescent and cascading. Flower bouquets are often given for special occasions such as events, birthdays, anniversaries or funerals. They are also used extensively in wedding programmes. Bouquets can be arranged in vases either in traditional or modern styles. Symbolism may be attached to the types of flowers used, according to the culture of the area.
