Singing is something that can touch one's heart, and can really inspire someone to do great things in life. This is a singing contest, nothing more and nothing less. The most versatile singing contest in which the contestants fill the air with their mesmerizing voice.

A performer in this event is expected to perform Bollywood Style Singing, Sufi, Ghazal, Quawali, Sabad, Bhajan, etc.

  • In the eliminators and finale, a participant will be given 5 minutes in total including set up and clearance in each of the round to perform since their name is announced.
  • Contestant must arrange their own live music or Karaoke. No orchestra support shall be provided by the host University. In case of Live Music, at least 1 unique Instruments & at most 5 musical instruments must be used.
  • No performance shall be permitted without Instruments or Karoake.
  • In case of karaoke, please carry it in 2 Pen Drives only. Use of Mobile Phones / Laptops / ipods, etc. for playing tracks/karaoke shall not be permitted.
  • Songs which are classified as Item Songs shall not be permitted to be performed. If the judges / organizers feel, deems a particular song as Item Song or vulgar or provoking or having foul words by any standard, their performance may be stopped and the contestant shall be disqualified from the competition.
  • The organizers/Judges reserves the right to interrupt or drop the performance any time regardless of the time limit on the basis of unacceptable performance level and/or breach of rules of the event.
  • The organizers hold the rights to enforce changes in the matter depending upon the suitability to the university without prior notice

Duet singing is a musical composition for two performers in which each performer compliment other's performance. So grab your partner, refine your voice and get on the stage to dazzle everyone with the power of your melodies.

The following genre are allowed in this competition:

  • In the Indo-Western Category, one singer has to perform in an Indian Language while the other in English.
  • In the Western category, both the singers must perform in English language only.
  • In the Indian category, all folk forms, Bollywood Style, Regional Singing, classical, semi-classical and all other Indian forms possible are permitted.

  • The choice of genre is independent, however, all genre shall be evaluated under one competition and same judging parameters.
  • The performance can be on Live Music or Karaoke or Pre-recorded Music. It is to be noted that use DRUM SETS shall not be permitted under this category, however instruments such as Congo, Dholak and all other instruments may be used.
  • In case performing Live Music, teams must use a minimum of 2 Instruments and a maximum of 7 Instruments.
  • More than one song can be sung within the time limit.
  • Participants shall be given 10 minutes to perform including set up and clearance. Time starts counting as soon as you step on the stage even if for arranging instrument.

This competition is for those who have a passion for playing with words in motion with emotions and rhythm.

A rapper can perform in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Haryanvi and even a mixture of these languages.

  • The rap may be original or an adaptation, however, additional points shall be awarded for originality.
  • A maximum of 5 minutes shall be given for performance for every contestant. Exceeding time limit will lead to disqualification.
  • In the allotted five minutes a performer may perform more than one rap.
  • 3 printed copies of lyrics must be submitted to the organizers before the performance.
  • Contestants have to perform on produced beats or live beats through Beat Boxers. In either case, the contestants have to arrange the same.
  • No performance shall be permitted without beats or beat boxer.
  • Performers must perform either karaoke or with beat boxers (maximum 2).
  • The lyrics must not be provocative or vulgar and any attempt of provoking the mass will not be tolerated and in this case, the participant shall be disqualified.

This competition is for all those bands who can make the crowd dance to their music & head bangers go wild their beats & strings.

This competition permits any genre (Metal, Funk, Rock-N-Roll, Jazz, Indian-Pop Indian / Western / Indo-western Fusion, etc.) and even professional bands to participate.

  • All bands must bring along their own Band Manager cum Sound Engineer who shall coordinate with the technical team for getting the sound fixed. The organizers / technical support staff of the festival shall not be responsible for sound check.
  • The band will be given 25 minutes to perform including setup and clearance. Time starts counting as soon as you step on the stage even if for arranging instrument.
  • Bands have to perform at least one ORIGINAL COMPOSITION (OC) and up to three covers within the allocated time. Bands may perform up to 3 covers depending upon the time allotted.
  • The bands are required to mention the Band / Album / Film of which the composition they shall be performing, at the beginning of each compositions.
  • Electrical connections sufficient to serve 4 electric guitars and sufficient monitors will be provided on the stage, as well as up to 5 extra vocal microphones and a 5-piece drum kit WITHOUT PADDLE(s) will be provided. Besides these, any other equipment should be arranged by the teams themselves. The same applies to guitar distortion boxes and similar pieces of equipment. Teams must bring at least three extra leads for their guitars as the organizers shall not be responsible for faulty / incompatible leads.
  • No digital sequence can be played on stage.
  • There should be no vulgarity and provocation in lyrics.
  • Any attempt of provoking the mass will not be tolerated & may lead to disqualification.
  • Specific requirements regarding lights and smoke must be discussed with organizers in advance.

Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion which primarily involves the art of producing drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using one's mouth, lips, tongue and voice. It may also involve singing, vocal imitation of turntablism, the simulation of horns, strings, and other musical instruments. Beatboxing today is connected with hip hop culture, being one of "the elements", although it is not limited to hip hop music.
