The “LegiQuest: Quest for Legal Knowledge” is a riveting legal quiz competition designed to test participants' comprehensive understanding of diverse law subjects. This contest will be conducted in three rounds to showcase their expertise in law subjects. This will include Question Answer, Rapid Fire Round and Buzzer Round with time limits to cultivate a competitive spirit.

Preliminary Round:

  • This will be a preliminary round.
  • 05 questions will be asked to each team purely based on the following subjects :
    IPC, Cr. PC, Law of Evidence, Constitutional Law, Family Law , Law of Contract, Law of Torts and all major Laws
  • After the completion of the preliminary round, top 4 teams will be considered for next round.Time limit 1 min for each question
  • Each question carries one mark.Question will pass to another team.
Semi –Final Round:
  • There will be Two tiers in Semi-Final.
  • I- 10 questions based on the subjects mentioned above.
  • II- There will be Rapid fire round in Semi – Final, 10 questions will be asked.
  • After the completion of the round top 2 teams will be considered for Finals.
  • Time limit 30 seconds for Tier I
  • Question will pass to another team for Tier-I.
  • Time Limit 15 seconds for Tier II- Rapid Fire Round.
  • No question will be passed to another team for Tier- II.Each question carries two marks in each round.
Final Round:
  • There will be Two Tiers in Final-Ques-Ans & BuzzerRound)
  • I – 08 questions will be asked on the basis of draw of lots from each team.
  • II- 06 random questions from the subjects mentioned above will be asked in BuzzerRound.
  • Time limit will be 20 seconds to answer in Tier– I
  • Time limit will be 15 seconds to answer in Tier- II(Buzzer)
  • Each question carries two marks.
  • NOTE: No team will be allowed to raise buzzer before the completion of the question
  • In case of default, negative marking will be done in Final Round.

  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: The Competition is open to all the students who are pursuing LL.B. (3years) /LL.B. (5years) Integrated Course /LL.M. or any student from any recognized University or College across the country.

  • The essay must be written in English.
  • Only one entry is allowed per author.
  • Essays presenting original thoughts shall be considered for the competition. No part of it should have been published earlier nor should it be under consideration for publication or a contest elsewhere.
  • No part of the essay, except the cover page, should contain any identification of author. In the cover page the candidate must mention his name, class, affiliating institution, e-mail id and contact number.
  • The essay should not be more than 2500 words

The first three winners and participation certificates will be provided to all the participants. The judging criteria shall be based on the following-
